I have been using the same Guacamole recipe for soooo long I can't even remember where it came from. This is simple and tasty way to make Guacamole, and I will let you in on my secret!
If you buy an Avocado and place it in your refrigerator it will stay good for a very very long time, weeks even, and ripen very slowly!
2 medium Avocados, seeded, peeled and diced
1 thin slice of onion, chopped
1 tbl fresh lemon juice
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp salt
1 small tomato, diced
Mash everything together in a bowl, using a fork (except tomato)
Add the diced tomato to finished Guacamole and mix well
I always add a tablespoon or two of fat free Sour Cream to lighten the color up and give extra flavor.

Mmmm ... avocados! I love guacamole and your recipe sounds great! Congrats on being featured at Great Cooks Community! I'm not familiar with it, so I'll go check it out! Also, you changed your avatar photos ... hello, Martha Anne!
Love guacamole - yours looks tasty. Congrats on being featured at Great Cooks.
I will keep this recipe! Thanks...Love the picture of Martha Ann that came up when you visited my blog!!! It's so cute!
I love freshly made homemade guacamole! There is nothing else like it.
As for dinner, IF my hubby were here, I would opt for a steak and shrimp dinner with the fixin's. Men just seem to love that. My kids love the heart-shaped pizza. I used to buy them (I know), but this year I had planned to make one, but am going to go visit my frail grandmother, so I think I will owe them one!
Love guacamole. I have never made it homemade though. I will have to try yours. Love your picture on the Great Chefs site. I'll have to check it out.
I love guacamole! Yum!
I moved! Come visit me at www.aduckinherpond.com.
This looks great!!!
I like to leave mine chunky (not too mashed) and if I don't add sour cream, I add soft cream cheese...mmmm, mmmm
Pass the chips, please!
That looks really good! I had two avacados in my fridge but they went bad.....otherwise I'd be making this right now!
