Jello Shots

I thought it would be fun to make Jello Shots for our Memorial Day barbecue, I had never had them before. They ended up being pretty darn tasty, my teetotaling mother in law even had two! They were fun for a change and so easy to make.

I used Sugar Free Peach Jello and 100 proof Vodka, per the recommendation of my local liquor store.

1 package sugar free Jello, your choice on the flavor
1 pint 100 proof vodka (you could use flavored Vodka if you wish)
20 tiny little plastic cups with lids (you can get these about anywhere).

Make your Jello according to the directions on the package, substitute Vodka for the cold water portion of your mixture.

Pour into the cups and let refrigerate overnight.

This makes about 30 of the small shots or probably 20 of the larger ones

I love jello shots, but haven't had them in FOREVER! I'm thinking I need to make some and keep them on hand...I have a four year old who is driving me up a wall--I'm usually ready for a "drink" by the time Daddy gets home :)

Stopping by for the first time...your recipes look great!

I'm not a big Vodka fan, but those sound interesting. Did mom turn red?? :-)

I've heard of jello shots, but have never had one. These sound fun! Um, how do you eat/drink them? Do they firm up like jello requiring a spoon, or stay loose and you just chug them back? Love those little cups with lids! So, Ms. Cheryl, how many little jellos did you have? :-) All hail the power of the mighty jello!

Found the cups at the party store today! I am making peach with cheap vodka. Here is the sad part, I am going to have them this Sunday at my family gathering to celebrate my son's fourth birthday. Doesn't see right does it? LOL!!!! Adults only for the jello shots-lemonade and strawberry julius for the kids.

How to spatchcock a chicken or turkey!

Finishing some of Cheryl's drafts... Keeping spatchcocking simple. Using a VERY sharp cleaver or kitchen shears -- not scissors, carefu...
