We are back from vacation, sunburnt and relaxed. I thought I would share some photo's before I get back to my regular Tuesday and Thursday food blogging.
Our truck and little fishing boat ready to leave for Bend, Oregon!
Thanks to dear friend's who loaned us their Cabin just outside of Sun River, we were able to enjoy the Deschutes river, in this area it winds slowly and beautifully. Lots of rafters and drifters use it for recreation.
This is the view from the boat in the middle of the beautiful Cultis Lake. The water was so clear you could see the bottom.
Bella Sue after a hard day on the lake, she unfortunately got a bit of heatstroke even though we did everything right. Luckily she recovered quickly, but she was worn out!

Baby Girls pensive look. We were simply amazed at what a good traveling companion she was. She either hung out between the seats or took a nap during the 4 plus hours each way. She also hopped right into the boat without any fear. I cannot say the same for me, I did the dock splits, one foot on the dock one foot on the boat, I managed to NOT fall in, but I hurt my gluteous muscle!

This was taken at Mt. Bachelor, it is really high in elevation and we found a bit of snow. It is probably Bend's largest and most popular skiing area.

LOVE your photos Cheryl. The scenery is to die for gorgeous, the doggie is adorable, hubby is a cutie.. and Im jealous of your nice green lawn.. with all this heat here in NJ at the moment and water restriction ours has turned almost hay like... glad you are back and hope you had a blast. Bigger is better, boats and otherwise.

I love the Bend area - it's so scenic and beautiful. I am glad you guys had a little get away... and I am also glad you didn't land in the water doing your dock splits.
Looking forward to seeing the new BIGGER boat.
Your photos are beautiful, Cheryl. That part of Oregon is beautiful and it sounds like you took advantage of it and had a great time. I'm glad the dogs adjusted. I hope you are having a great day. Blessings...Mary
