Sad Anniversary

Today marks the one year anniversary of the loss of our Beautiful, Majestic, Martha Anne. She was only seven, I thought she would be here so much longer, taken swiftly.

To say we still feel the loss is an understatement, we still talk about her constantly, remembering all her goofy ways and silly self. Bella Sue has filled a huge hole in our heart and she is loved and treasured, but Martha was our "once in a lifetime dog".

We will never forget her, nor will anyone who ever met her. She was a friend to all, a constant companion and a goofy, happy dog.

I decided to share some of the million and one photos we have of her, our Baby, our darling daughter.

I will never forget you my beauty, always in our hearts.........

I lost my dear Sammy Dec. 1. I feel the same way even though he was 11. Taken too soon and I'll never get over the love he showed our family.

Bless her heart and just remember that she loved you more than anything.

Just discovered your blog and was amazed at the beautiful face staring at me from this post. I am familiar with your pain. Two years ago in September I lost my Doberman female Lucia. She was 8 years and was diagnosed with bone cancer on a Friday afternoon and by Saturday she was gone. Never did we think that something that started out so minor, we thought she had sprained her leg, could turn out so bad and get so much worse so quickly. I hope both of our girls are romping around at the Rainbow Bridge.

I remember that day, Cheryl. It's sweet how Bella has become so special to you. I do know what it's like to have the "it" dog. I lost mine 12 years ago, and I still look at her photo on my dresser and I miss her all over again. Great photos you shared.
Blessings,
Debby

OH, she is just gorgeous!! What beautiful, soulful eyes! I never had the chance to "meet" her - didn't know your blog then - so I'm so happy you posted some pictures now. I can imagine the huge hole she must have left in your heart - she looks like the most amazing, special dog.

Oh - forgot to say - just wondering if you saw a post I did a few weeks ago called "A Beach Romance" which was all about Honey meeting a very handsome Dobermann on the beach! :-)

What a sweet heart...so sorry she's gone. Just found out a couple days ago our (very old) doggie is in kidney failure. Now just waiting to try to decide when it's the right time. It's tough!

It's hard to believe it was a year ago - though not so for you my lovely, I'm sure. When we lived back in England, our old dog was 18 when he died, and we still talk about him 18 years later. You never forget.
