I have been working on a kitchen/dining room remodel for about 9 months now (GOSH I could of had a baby in that time). It is finally finished and I thought I would share! I really love cooking in my kitchen now.
The first step was having the wonderful and talented Artist/Painter
Hollye from
Maxwell Studios come and give my walls a warm Tuscan look, I believe it was Faux Painting that she did.
She gave me many ideas on everything else and I think between my husband and I we did a decent job for
amateur's.

I had my dining room chairs re-upholstered with a beautiful green brocade fabric!

New lighting, Art and Window Treatments!

My husband has a great eye, and he picked out most of it!
Sorry the photo's are so dark! I keep my pots and pans in that huge cabinet!

I had my cabinets re-finished rather than replaced and that saved me a ton of money. Someday we may replace them.

All new Stainless Steel Appliances (which are a BITCH to clean), and I finally converted to a gas stove (which I do love). It is a an
Electrolux Duel Fuel stove, gas top and electric oven. Loves it!
Added Granite Slab counters, and a new Desk Chair and a bit more art!
All new Tuscan/Italian decorations. The chickens are my thing! And I love my big ass sink!

My favorite thing you ask? My one horsepower garbage Disposal. I LOVE IT. I could seriously dispose of just about anything. Nothing slows it down!

And that is it, not bad for two semi-do it yourselfers !

BEAUTIFUL!!! Cheryl, its just gorgeous! I LOVE LOVE your kitchen and the window is in the perfect location. It looks like its out of a magazine. You two did an awesome job. My hubby and yours would hit it off, he picks out decor pretty well too. Color is incredible.
I love the layout, it is just so lovely, warm, welcoming, charming, and cheery. Id love to sit at the table with you and have a few cocktails!!
Gorgeous, gorgeous kitchen! Love the color, the sink, the chickens and that light. You guys did a beautiful job, Cheryl.
Cheryl, your kitchen is just gorgeous. i am so envious of your appliances and i didn't even know that they made a 1 hp garbage disposal!
I think we must be kindred souls, I've always loved Tuscan decor...hell, i want to live in Tuscany...wanna come? ;-)
Drooling. Very jealous. It's beautiful! (How about some "before" pictures?) :D

It's really beautiful Cheryl. I can't believe that you "semi-do it yourself", must have been a very big project. Anyway, what's cooking in the new kitchen?
Stunning... you did such a great job! I'll be right over for a tour.
:)

Oh my God. It looks like a modeled house. I am so impressed.
Your do it yourself kitchen looks GRAND, Cheryl!!
Waw!! Just so lovely,...
Would you hand me a bottle of makeup to cover up my green skin? Seriously, it's a dream kitchen. I would live in that room all the time.
LOVE the desk area, too. You are blessed.
I am soo jealous! I wish I could remodel my kitchen too..
I have to agree with everyone. It is too die for! I love the warm colors. I also love the hard woods, granite, and stainless steel. Just a dream kitchen come true.
I love it! Congrats on finishing : )
I'm jealous, it's so beautiful. Enjoy!
You two did awesome! It is just gorgeous!
I love your big ass sink! LOL!
Oh, I'm so jealous-it is beautiful! I have my eye on a dual fuel stove. We are waiting for our bonuses (I know, I'm lucky to work for a company that still shares with it's employees) and we are going to purchase a lovely new gem for my kitchen. I love, love, love the granite. It is on the wish list too. I'd be inspired every day in that kitchen :)
Oooh, I love your Tuscany kitchen! That paint color is so warm and comforting, and I love how it contrasts with the shiny appliances. Those counter tops really pull it all together. I'm a chicken girl, too! My kitchen decor doesn't look nearly as nice as yours, though. Now I'm inspired! Thanks for the tour!
