Bagelfuls, The SAD Truth!

I had been wanting to try the newly advertised Bagelful's, they looked like the perfect combination of Bagel and Cream cheese, my number one favorite breakfast! I was, however, not willing to purchase an entire package just to try them.

One fateful day, as I was shopping at Costco, they had a person hawking them with samples. My husband said he has never seen me stop so fast as when I spotted them. They were cut up into little pieces and I tried one and swooned. I immediately purchased a box, I was sooo excited about them! The next morning I jacked open the box and found this...............

Sadly disappointing in size and the amount of cream cheese was quite sparse, nothing like the photo on the box. I then realized they were 200 calories a pop, 5 grams of Fat, and 31 carbs. I was pretty sure that it would not last me till lunch and I was right. It is more of a snack size item if you ask me, or possibly a breakfast for a child, and they really aren't that great tasting after all.

That, my friends is my story!

The BOX is my kinda serving size!! That is probably why I get the "Come back to Weight Watchers for Free" crap in my mailbox all the time.

I've not heard of these yet. I don't quite understand what they are, but will look out for them. Thanks for the review and don't you just hate when that happens?

I havent heard of these things here in NJ yet, but I shall avoid them based on this review. These kraft people should learn they must please the consumer. Not falsely advertise the size of what they are doling out.

I CANT stand when people, specially men, lie about size, ya know?

oh I have seen those guys around for at least two years now in san diego. darn costco samples making everything delish. I agree, that is way too small for all those calories! Might as well eat a bagel with light cream cheese!

convenience foods... what an odd term for "usually a disappointment".

Thanks for sharing, wish it was better for you

I had been looking at these every time we went grocery shopping but i never wanted to pay the outrageous price. Trisha called me one day to tell me " Mom, dont be fooled by these cause they are dry and have next to no filling inside...dont buy them!!" That being said I never did and I very happy that I listened to her.

Awww, hell. I hate it when that happens. Know what? At first, I thought you found a pair of glasses in the box! (No, I did not have wine for lunch). Then, I realized it was a size comparison. Duh. I love bagels, but I eat the rarely...cuz I know how naughty they are!

Thanks for sharing your review, Cheryl. Sucks that you dropped the cash for such a disappointment! I hate it, too, when the pic on the box looks like a big ole serving, and you're woefully disappointed when you open it. I think I'll stick to the real deal!
