190 Miles An Hour on a Train

I might have mentioned my husband just got back from 2 weeks in which he visited Amsterdam, Stuttgart Germany, Krakow Poland, and ended up in Paris France. It is part of the Executive Masters Program he attends.

Anyway, long story short, he took this video on a train from Stuttgart to Amsterdam, it is going 190 miles an hour. It is freaky to look at, it almost seems like a speeded up video, but obviously is isn't.

1.9.0!!! That is so cool how those bullet trains travel. I wonder why those types of trains aren't over here in the states. Oh my gosh, I kept waiting for the front end to go up and hear the words, "we have liftoff"! I'm trying to imagine what it would be like to actually travel by bullet train. Usually I look out the window to stave off motion sickness ... I wonder if that would work here! Cool video ... thanks to your hubby for taking it, and you for posting it! PS: Hope Bella Sue enjoyed her very first fireworks night (with no repeats of the unfortunate car hurling incident). :-)

Now that is fast! My husband leaves for Germany in two weeks and he will be in France and Amsterdam also. He will be taking that train while traveling also. The tickets are expensive though.

I used to live in Stuttgart. I miss it so much. I've been on one of those trains too. It really is amazing how fast they go.

But to answer Paula, we don't have those trains here because we just are not set up for it. We can't even maintain the trains we have now, much less something like that. The Europeans invest a lot of time and money in their public transportation. We just don't do that here in the states. Sad, but true.

I hope your husband enjoyed his trip. I miss Europe so much. I'd move back in a heart beat if I could.
