Today's tip is something I take advantage of quite often.
When it is on sale, and you can freeze it, buy lots of it. For instance, my local Haggen store had butter for sale with a coupon at 2 for four dollars, and it was a name brand butter. You can freeze butter just fine and that was an amazing deal. It was before the holidays so I stocked up!
I do the same thing with cheese, it freezes just fine and when it is on sale, I buy several packages
Milk also freezes just fine, you just have to shake it very well before serving!

Very cool and worthwhile hints!
Never knew that you could freeze milk!
I knew you could freeze butter and some cheeses, but I had no idea you could freeze milk! Good to know as it seems as if my son could drink a gallon a day!
I've been freezing butter for awhile now thanks to you. Great tips.
Thanks for the great tips - The milk one I never new.. I think I am going to need a bigger freezer!!
this is definitely a good one! my freezer is one of my best culinary friends :)
Good tip - any tips on freezing butter? I know sometimes they soak up freezer "aromas". I like to get bread on sale because the good bread can be costly...but it dries out if left too long.
Thanks,
T
Well, you learn something new everyday. I didn't know any of these things were freezable. Thanks for the tips Cheryl.
I have done all 3 things, I only had never heard of freezing milk until in Pennsylvania with my past life. My ex-mother-in-law hooked me up with that idea.
Thanks for this tip! I never knew you could freeze cheese and butter. Now, I will. I usually freeze milk and bread. Now, I will have to make more room. I go through a lot of butter. Nice blog, btw.
